Rest in Peace Stuart Scott, 7/19/1965 – 1/4/2015
Stuart Scott: “When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.”

ESPN SportsCenter anchor Stuart Scott fought cancer for seven years. He won his first two fights with cancer, but he fell in the third. Scott was 49 years old. He leaves behind two daughters Taelor, 19, and Sydni, 15, and a nation of admirers.
In July he accepted Jimmy V Award for Perseverance, and offered some words about his last fight.
“When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer,” he said. “You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.”
Scott was a huge MMA fan, and more. As detailed in a New York Times profile in April of last year, he used MMA training at Plus One in West Hartford, CT to restore energy taken from him by chemotherapy.
