Former high school and collegiate wrestler, amateur MMA champion, and professional MMA fighter Paul Compton passed away following an automobile accident.
Paul Compton, 29, passed away in Ohio on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, following a automobile accident.
The former high school and collegiate wrestler, amateur MMA champion, and professional fighter was known in the cage as “Straight Outta” Compton, and outside the cage as “Pauly Wog” Compton. Both names would of course in any other circumstance bring a grin to your face, and are a testament to his contagious smile and positive personality.
A member of Plumbing Union Local 55 by day, Compton taught at and fought out of GriffonRawl MMA Academy.
Paul is survived by his son, Demitrious Compton; mother, Peaches Compton; fathers, Paul Kovach and Dale (Michelle) Compton; sister, Cotie (Marc) Clevenger, Rikki Jean (Kevin) Christ; brother, AJ (Ashley) Kovach; and his companion, Bridget Holmes.
