Bellator, King of the Cage, and EliteXC veteran Joe Camacho has passed away from a heart attack.

Camacho reportedly felt poorly after returning home following competing at an area BJJ competition. He went to bed, but awoke at 4:00 a.m.screaming, and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Camacho was only 41 years old.

He began fighting professionally in 1997, and fought just last month. A black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Aloisio Silva, Camacho ran the Joe Camacho Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Los Angeles, California.

A wide variety of figures have expressed shock and dismay at the tragedy, including UFC bantamweight #1 contender Urijah Faber.
