Sources with knowledge of the situation told Jesse Holland for MMAMania that a fight between top light heavyweights Alexander Gustafsson and Rashad Evans is in the works for an event in Stockholm, Sweden, on Jan 24, 2015. The event may air on FOX.
Gustafsson wanted a rematch with Jon Jones following his KO of Jimi Manuwa, but that fight had already gone to Daniel Cormier.
Like Gustafsson, Evans has gone the distance with Jones, wants a rematch, and is coming off knee surgery.
