English welterweight Paul Daley has been removed from Bellator MMA’s upcoming Season 8 170-pound tournament, according to a representative for the promotion.
Daley, 29, is barred from entering the U.S. after being charged with assault stemming from a bar fight, the promotion said. He faces up to two years in prison.
Daley’s manager, Wad Alameddine, did not immediately return a request for comment.
Daley himself has called this story ‘rumours’, but did confirm today on the Underground that his next fight will not be for the Bellator promotion:

Rumours. However it seems my next fight will not be for Bellator.
Again, Daley posted on the Underground denying the allegation:

A statement has been made on my Facebook page. These rumours are untrue, I was not involved in a bar fight, was not arrested recently, I am however waiting to hear on my visa situation, this will no likely be until April.
