UFC Fight Pass is the future of the league, and it is heading there via measured steps. 

The UFC just announced that UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjoswill put his title on the line vs. Eddie Alvarez at UFC Fight Night 90, and it will be available only on Fight Pass.

This is the first time a male UFC title fight has been available solely on Fight Pass.

UFC Fight Night 90 on Thursday, July 7 will be part of the massive week of MMA around UFC 200.

RDA is coming off a win over Donald ‘Cowboy Cerrone in December. A planned fight with Conor McGregor was scrapped when the Brazilian injured his foot. Alvarez is on a two fight win streak, with split decisions over Gil Melendez and Athony Pettis. The fight prior to that was a loss to Cerrone, who came up short in his title shot.

Friday, July 8 will feature the TUF 23 Finale, with women’s strawweight champion JoannaJedrzejczyk defending her title vs. Claudia Gadelha. UFC 200 on Saturday, July 9, will feature UFC women’s bantamweught champion Miesha Tate vs. Amanda Nunes, Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight title, and a rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.
