RDA: I don’t work OT, will KO Cowboy quickly

UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos spoke recently with Brazil’s Combate about his plans to beat Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone a second time, and faster. RDA earned a unanimous decision over Cerrone at UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann 2 on August 28, 2013
“I hit him with a good hook in that dropped him in the first round,” said dos Anjos as transcribed by Lucas Rezende for MMAMania. “In this second opportunity, he won’t get up if I hit him again. I’m going for the knockout. I don’t work overtime in the Octagon. I’ll do my best, I’ll get ready to keep my belt. I’ll try and finish the fight as fast as possible.”
Cerrone accused RDA of doping in June, but later said he was just “trying to get a rise” out of the Brazilian. Cerrone tested positive for the banned diuretic hydrochlorothiazide at his WEC debut in 2007. His win was changed to No Contest.
“I didn’t have the displeasure of seeing Cerrone backstage at the ‘Go Big’ conference,” said dos Anjos. “But when you talk about somebody, you need to have some moral ground to do so. A guy who has tested positive before can’t talk about anybody. I have a clean career. Even parrots can talk, so let him say whatever he wants to promote the fight.”
Rafael dos Anjos fights Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC on FOX 17 on December 19 in Orlando, Florida.
