Rankings Update: Ronda Rousey up to 9th p4p
In the newly compiled associated media rankings, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey moved up to ninth in the p4p rankings with her win.

After each event, the UFC polls various members of the media to update its rankings in each weight division as well as the pound for pound rankings.
This past weekend the UFC held two events back to back, and the most movement was in the featherweight division, where Frankie Edgar moved ahead of Cub Swanson. Also, Ronda Rousey moved up the ladder to claim the ninth spot in the pound for pound rankings.
Champion : Jose Aldo
1 Chad Mendes
2 Frankie Edgar +1
3 Cub Swanson -1
4 Ricardo Lamas
5 Chan Sung Jung
6 Dustin Poirier
7 Clay Guida +1
8 Dennis Siver +1
9 Nik Lentz -2
10 Jeremy Stephens
11 Dennis Bermudez
12 Darren Elkins
13 Conor McGregor -1
14 Charles Oliveira
15 Tatsuya Kawajiri
?The movement in the featherweight division is interesting because Cub Swanson was the likely candidate to face the winner of Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes. However, with Aldo hurt and the fight postponed, Swanson could wait out his title shot, which may take up to half a year by the time Aldo recovers, fights Mendes, and recovers again. However, he may now be motivated to take a fight versus Edgar who moved ahead of him in the rankings.
Pound for pound rankings are always the most discussed because likely everyone in them would never fight each other. Two people on the list, Chris Weidman and Ronda Rousey, both fought and won impressively this weekend, however only Rousey moved up in those rankings.
