Rankings Update: Overeem, Diaz, Dos Anjos move up

This past Saturday, at UFC on FOX 17, the lightweight title fight was on the line in the main event. Champ Rafael dos Anjos took on challenger Donald Cerrone and beat him in just over a minute of the first round, via TKO.

Another major fight on the card was the heavyweight scrap between Alistair Overeem and Junior Dos Anjos. The fight wasn’t the back and forth throw down some people were hoping for, but it eventually came to an end in the second round when Overeem caught him with a big punch that put him down. But the fight that everyone seems to be talking about is the lightweight fight between Nate Diaz and Michael Johnson.

Diaz came out with the win after a three round beatdown where Diaz out struck Johnson for the entire fight.

After the fights the UFC rankings shifted a little bit with the big winners jumping up. Diaz moved up to 7 spaces in the lightweight rankings with his win over Johnson. Overeem jumped up to number 4 after taking out JDS and RDA is now the number 8 P4P fighter in the world.
