After each live event, the UFC polls various members of the media to update its rankings in each weight division as well as the pound for pound rankings. With only a couple meaningful bouts at this past weekend’s UFC 163, the light heavyweight division is where we saw the most movement:

With his win over Lyoto Machida (formerly ranked no.1 contender), Phil Davis moved himself up three spots, putting him in fourth. With the loss, Machida dropped one spot, pushing Alexander Gustafson into the top spot. Coincidentally Gustafson is the next to fight for the title, so now Jon Jones will fight the consensus number one contender.
