Rankings Update 6.9.14: Benson Henderson regains no.1 contendership
Benson Henderson, who was previously ranked second, defeated Rustam Khabilov by submission in the fourth round and is now considered the number one contender.
After each event, the UFC polls various members of the media to update its rankings in each weight division as well as the pound for pound rankings.
This past weekend’s Ultimate Fight Night 42 only featured a few fights that had any impact on the division, but of particular note are Benson Henderson’s return to the number one contender spot and Bryan Caraway cracking into the top ten in the bantamweight division.

Bryan Caraway was previously ranked fourteenth in the division and now finds himself tenth. Erik Perez dropped two spots from twelfth to fourteenth.
