CM Punk proved to be terrible at mixed martial arts, but his handpicked opponent Mickey Gall has been a lively addition to the UFC thus far. He tapped out CM Punk in 2:14. Then before he left the Octagon he called out Sage Northcutt. Then he challenged Northcutt to a haircut match.

Gall appeared recently on the Legion of Skanks podcast and rose to CM Punk’s defense when host Luis J. Gomez claimed to be tougher than the former WWE world champion. Gall beat Punk in 2:14, and gave Gomez the opportunity to last longer.

The rules were Gomez starts in Mount, and body strikes were allowed.

“I’m going to tell you right now, I’m going to break your ribs with my body strikes,” threatened Gomez, to the hoots of the onlookers. “Just know that. I’ve got the f***ing heavy hands. People don’t know that.”

18 seconds after touching hands, Gomez had bridged out of bottom Mount, passed to Half Guard, and sunk a Darse for the tap.

The fight with Northcutt may have to wait until December as Northcutt is currently suffering from a Staph infection. But when it happens, if Gall beats one of the most showcased young fighters in the league, Mickey Gall could be kind of a star.
