UFC strawweight Paige VanZant has a record of 7-3, and lost two of her last three fights. She is 22 years old. And she has a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu.
And she has a publishing contract to write her autobiography with the prestigious Hachette Book Group. Other Hachette writers include:
•James Patterson, #1 on Forbes’ list of highest-paid authors for 2016, with $95,000,000;
•J.K. Rowling, the first writer to become a billionaire;
•Stephanie Meyer, author of the Twilight series, best-selling author in America in 2008 and 2009, and #49 in Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” in 2008; plus,
•Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Malcolm Gladwell, and Paige VanZant.
It’s a memoir,” said PVZ to FOX Sports. “Obviously, people learned a little bit about my past and my story and I really haven’t told it all and it’s something I feel like I wouldn’t be able to say out loud so a book is the perfect way. Because it’s my words but I don’t have to say them out loud. I’m really excited. It’s just my story about how I became a fighter and what path I had to take to get here.
She made the announcement during a live chat.
UFC women’s bantamweight Lauren Murphy had just one question.

VanZant had a busy 2016, with two fights, and a successful run on Dancing with the Stars. 2017 appears to be perhaps busier still.
