NEW YORK – The Professional Fighters League announced today a partnership with CrossTower, an innovative, global Web3 technology company, to offer exclusive NFT VIP experiences created for the PFL fanbase, built on the blockchain XRP Ledger (XRPL).
CrossTower and PFL will release a limited number of NFT VIP tickets as part of the upcoming PFL regular season event on June 23 at OTE Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. For the first time, PFL fans that purchase NFT VIP tickets will have access to never-before-offered VIP experiences. Purchasers will gain access to exclusive SmartCage-side seating, the PFL’s ceremonial weigh-in the day before the June 23 event, and fighter meet-and-greets. They will also enjoy use of a VIP entrance and hospitality within the arena, as well as special behind-the-scenes PFL content before and after the event, and discounts and pre-sales to future events. In addition, select purchasers will earn their chance to step inside the PFL SmartCage with their own PFL ring-walk and photo opportunity. NFT VIP tickets can be purchased starting May 23rd at TicketVerse.CrossTower.com.
“We’re pleased to introduce our partnership with CrossTower to bring our PFL fans premium VIP experiences through blockchain technology,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “NFT ticketing creates a new way for PFL fans to engage with live PFL events, combining access to buy experiences, real-world utility and digital ticketing.”
“CrossTower is honored to partner with PFL to offer enhanced ticketing experiences to PFL fans. These experiences have never been offered before to the PFL fanbase and we are thrilled to bring this exclusive access to PFL customers,” said Kapil Rathi, CEO of CrossTower.
“The NFTs are built by CrossTower on the XRP Ledger, an open-source, energy efficient, and decentralized blockchain powered by a global developer community. The XRP Ledger’s decade of proven enterprise-grade capabilities makes it a superior blockchain for this experience, both for PFL and their fans,” said Rathi.
PFL is the only in MMA with the sports-season format, where individual fighters compete in a regular season, playoffs, and championship each year, making PFL a “win and advance” meritocracy like all other major sports. PFL fighter roster hails from over 20 countries and 25 percent of PFL fighters are independently ranked in the top 25 of their weight class. The company leads in technology and innovation, with its proprietary PFL SmartCage powering real-time betting and next-gen viewing experience. PFL airs live in the U.S. on ESPN and ESPN+ and is broadcast and streamed to 140 countries with 25 leading international media partners.
