An arm injury has forced Pedro Rizzo (19-9) out of next month’s ProElite 2 headliner with fellow ex-UFC heavyweight Tim Sylvia (29-7).
Rizzo today announced via Twitter that he recently suffered a partial tear of his left triceps tendon.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) could not immediately reach ProElite officials to determine if a Plan B is in place or if a replacement is being sought.
“So I would like to apologize to … ProElite and specially to Tim Sylvia because I can’t be in the ring on Nov. 5 to face him,” Rizzo stated.
