From: Paul Felder

Kirik – Taekwon Do is the world’s most popular martial art, but it has not had near the influence on the play of the game in mixed martial arts that have folkstyle, boxing, BJJ, Muay Thai, etc. I knew you studied Taekwon Do when you were younger. Are there any elements of TKD that you use when you fight?

Of course. All of the spinning techniques are all Tae Kwon Do, some of my round kicks are TKD style. My mentality is very TKD, I even have a tattoo of a tennant of TKD.

I submit cats – Question:

Does the upcoming IV ban worry you? Any thoughts on it? Have you considered moving to Welterweight once it is in effect?

Yes it is a concern, but I do not plan on moving up to welterweight. I plan on using a dietician or something along those lines.

From Paul Felder:

Paulo Roberto – Given your unusual professional background in both acting and fighting, what is (one of) your fave cinematic fight scene of all time?

Obviously great acting feels real, or more than real. Once you started fighting did you ever watch a movie fight scene and made it seem real to you?

I watched Rocky as a teen and it made me like drink raw eggs for wrestling practice and stuff, but someone gave it to me for Christmas a couple of years ago, and the fight choreography is kind goofy, in retrospect.

Sorry for blaspheming, but it is.

It would have to be the end of Bloodsport when Van Damme fights the huge Korean guy.

MMAAdvertising – Paul – Welcome to The UG! What is your favorite fight you have had during your undefeated professional career?

Kirik mentioned it above, but how much of a factor do you feel your traditional Martial Arts have played in MMA? You are very decorated with your 2nd Degree Black Belt in TKD and Black Belt in Karate. That is a background many fighters don’t have.

Danny Castillo fight in Vegas.

Fapping2FabersButtChin – Do you think you would be where you are without Cowboy?

Absolutely not. He’s a huge part of why I’m at where I am.

RickStorm –

Welcome to the UG Paul, and thanks for Q&A…

I saw you on “Road to the Octagon” (I think thats what it was called). I thought they profiled you pretty good.

How you handling the extra media?

Good luck in fight!!

I’m actually having a lot of fun with it. It helps keep me distracted from the weight cut – I haven’t eaten much today and I’m OK with that. It’s a dream come true, I want to have cameras following me.

John9821 – paul,
