At UFC 185, Alistair Overeem battered Roy Nelson for three rounds with a versatile striking ground, but the super tough heavyweight could not be taken down. Overeem spoke on the toughness of Nelson at the post-fight press conference:
I’m actually a little bit banged up. He’s a dangerous guy, and this proves it. I’m clipping him left and right, and I’m banged up on my feet from kicking him, he said. Every time I hit him, I could see in his eyes he wanted to take my head off. Every time I hit him, he got more angry, kind of like the Hulk or something.
