Strikeforce: “Overeem vs. Werdum” live on Showtime this Saturday nighjt represents the second leg of the promotion’s heavyweight grand prix tournament. Leading the charge is current Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem as he tries to avenge a 2006 loss to Fabricio Werdum in the main event.
“The Reem” is a whopping -500 favorite.
Of course anything can happen in the sport of mixed martial arts, especially when you have the grappling credentials that “Vai Cavalo” does (see Emelianenko, Fedor). Nevertheless, the two-time ADCC champion is a +300 underdog.
