Superbon Singha Mawynn is one of the best strikers on the planet, and he has a formidable weapon up his sleeve – a devastating head kick.
The Thai superstar will look to utilize his not-so-secret weapon when he challenges fellow countryman Tawanchai PK.Saenchai for the ONE featherweight muay Thai world title in the ONE Fight Night 15 main event on October 6.
Ahead of his world title tussle, we’ve broken down how Superbon implements his head kick – and looked at two occasions when it’s worked best.
How does he do it?

Few fighters have a weapon as unavoidably dangerous as Superbon’s head kicks. Martin Nguyen‘s overhand right, Rodtang Jitmuangnon‘s left hook, and Garry Tonon‘s leglock are examples of tools that define their owners, and Superbon possesses one just as identifiable.
So how does the featherweight kickboxing king keep getting away with it? Opponents should expect him to throw it and prepare for it thusly, right?
Superbon’s trick is having superior flexibility that affords him ample opportunity to land a head kick from punching range.
But it also comes from timing, which he demonstrated in a tutorial video with ONE Championship commentator Mitch Chilson.
With that in mind, let’s look at a couple of times that the Thai sensation has used his head kick to devastating effect.

The most shocking finish of Superbon’s career is undeniably his head kick knockout of Italian kickboxing legend Giorgio Petrosyan when he challenged for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title in October 2021.
In just his second appearance under the ONE banner, Superbon caught The Doctor with his signature kick as he looked to exit after a punching combination.
The kick landed flush and put the multiple-time kickboxing world champion flat on his back, sparking a wild celebration from Superbon, who ran laps around the ONE Circle as the gravity of his stunning win took hold.
Tayfun Ozcan at ONE Fight Night 11

Superbon rebounded from his devastating world title loss to Chingiz Allazov in January by scoring another highlight-reel finish at ONE Fight Night 11 this past June.
This time, Tayfun Ozcan was the victim. Superbon caught the Turkish star with his hands down after a punch and threw a perfectly placed head kick from his lead leg.
His timing was impeccable once again, and he landed it square on the button, sending Ozcan crashing to the canvas.
The referee immediately waved off the contest, handing Superbon the second-round win.
