ONE Championship’s historic U.S. on-ground debut is officially sold out.
“ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III” is set for the 1STBANK Center in Denver, Colorado. Those without a ticket need not despair, however, as the May 5 blockbuster will air live and free with an Amazon Prime subscription.
ONE chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong recently took to social media to announce the news, still more than five weeks out from showtime.
He posted on his Facebook account, “SOLD OUT!!! ONE’s debut in the US on May 5 in Denver, Colorado is officially SOLD OUT! Thank you to our American fans for your love and support!”
Staging an event in the U.S. marks a huge leap forward for the Singapore-based promotion. ONE has held events all over Asia since 2011, and it has garnered a huge following across the globe.
The global stature of the organization has seemingly been confirmed by ONE’s roaring success at the U.S. box office, proving that there is an appetite for its events in the West.
ONE Fight Night 10 is headlined by the highly anticipated trilogy showdown between ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson (24-4-1) and former flyweight king Adriano Moraes (20-4). The pair have split their rivalry 1-1 so far and incredibly, both fights have ended by various knee knockouts.
The rest of the card is stacked with elite talent befitting of such a momentous occasion, as two more world title bouts join Johnson vs. Moraes III at the top of the lineup.
ONE flyweight muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon takes on Mexican knockout artist Edgar Tabares, while ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci faces Yemeni ace Osamah Almarwai.
The organization is also rolling out some of its biggest names for the event, such as ONE middleweight world champion Reinier de Ridder, Thai superstar Stamp Fairtex, recent high-profile signing Roberto Soldic, and American sensation Sage Northcutt.
Also, former ONE world champions Zebaztian Kadestam, Aung La N Sang, Kairat Akhmetov and Ok Rae Yoon will be featured on the show.
