OKTAGON MMA are making promotional history once again by holding back-to-back shows across two nights for the first time ever. Within days of going on sale, all tickets for the original Saturday event (July 29) sold out, so we added an extra card on Friday (July 28) in order for as many of our loyal fans as possible to participate in the event of the summer. This show has always been a favorite of the public due to the relaxed summer vibes and stunning setting.
Staged under the night sky of Prague on a beautiful island, Stvanice, the weekend will showcase some of OKTAGON MMA’s biggest stars culminating in a huge featherweight title unification bout between Mate Sanikidze and Losene Keita – one of the biggest fights to take place in Europe this year.
These will be our last ever events held in Stvanice, so tune in to experience this spectacle one final time.
OKTAGON Stvanice Friday kicks off the event of the summer on July 28 and is headlined by an intriguing clash for the bantamweight title featuring one of the continent’s best at 135 pounds.
Jonas Magard (15-5) turned in the performance of his career during his last outing against UFC veteran Gustavo Lopez to defend his belt by TKO finish in the second round. “Shark” now faces the challenge of newly signed FCR champion Felipe Lima (11-1), who hasn’t tasted defeat since his professional debut eight years ago. The pair do not like each other and exchanged heated words at the OKTAGON TIME press conference many months ago. Will Magard extend his dominant run or can Lima raise gold in the most important fight of his life?
The next contender for Patrik Kincl‘s middleweight belt will be decided in the co-main event when oncoming wrecking ball Robert Bryczek (16-5) collides with former interim champion Samuel “Pirat” Kristofic (16-5). Bryczek has been absolutely unstoppable as of late, finishing his last four opponents, including tough U.K. veteran Lee Chadwick, by knockout in less than three minutes. “Pirat” is moving back up to 185 pounds, which is his natural weight class, and has never been stopped in his career. Both men will be looking to impress and prove they are the rightful next in line for a crack at Kincl’s crown.
Following a draw in his promotional debut, Shem Rock (8-1-1) aims to bounce back and show what he is truly capable of against fan-favorite Jan Malach (15-13), in a lightweight contest. The Team Ireland coach on the upcoming series of “OKTAGON Challenge: England vs. Ireland” was dealing with lingering injury issues and a late opponent change in April but sees Malach as the perfect opponent to display his skills. With 18 finishes between them, the chance of this fight going the distance is slim.
In other feature bouts, boxing champion Vladimir Lengal (5-1) intends on making it six knockout wins in row when he faces well-rounded Michael Deiga-Scheck (9-4) at featherweight, and top Hungarian fighter Mate Kertesz (13-6) meets the man known as “Dracula,” Ion Surdu (12-5), in a welterweight bout. The main card will open with another exciting welterweight clash between all-action Tato Primera (18-13) and knockout machine Radovan Úskrt (7-4).
Elsewhere on the card, one of the biggest personalities in OKTAGON MMA, “Baba Jaga” Vaclav Mikulasek (9-10), guarantees fireworks when he squares off with Norwegian Ole Magnor (7-7) at middleweight, and gifted striker Radek Rousal makes his long-awaited MMA debut in a featherweight bout. In another first, Polish kickboxer, Roza Gumienna (4-3), competes at bantamweight against a mystery opponent who will only be revealed to the fans on her walk to the cage.
OKTAGON Stvanice Friday will be broadcast live on OKTAGON.tv internationally, as well as worldwide on the global platform DAZN, in all markets except from DACH and CZ/SK. The action begins at 12.30 p.m. ET.

On July 29, we are back for a second night of exhilarating action at OKTAGON Stvanice Saturday in the open air with a main event that is one of the biggest in promotional history between two of the best prospects worldwide.
Both Sanikidze (10-2) and Keita (11-0) made their OKTAGON MMA debuts in 2021 and have been on a collision course ever since. Keita stopped Slovak legend Ivan Buchinger inside one round last June to win the lightweight belt, and a couple of months later, Sanikidze defeated top Czech talent Jakub Tichota to claim featherweight gold. The undefeated Belgian sensation then dropped down a weight class to pursue “champ champ” status, but an injury to Sanikidze thwarted their original fight booking.
While the Georgian prospect recovered, Keita won the interim featherweight title, which raised the stakes for their upcoming showdown even higher. Will Sanikidze become the first man to defeat his adversary, or can Keita become a unified double champion? European MMA doesn’t get any better than this.
OKTAGON MMA light heavyweight champion Karlos Vemola (34-7) makes a quick comeback in the co-headliner after falling short in his middleweight title grudge match against Kincl two months ago. “The Terminator” wants to get back in the win column following his first loss in four years when he meets Argentinian MMA standout Lucas Alsina (11-4) at a catchweight of 91 kilograms. Some big fights are still on the horizon for the Czech superstar but he has to get past the RCC and Bellator veteran in order to reach them.
The first ever OKTAGON MMA double champion, Buchinger (39-8) returns at OKTAGON Stvanice Saturday after a year-long layoff due to an injury that forced him to relinquish his featherweight belt. “Buki” will welcome promotional newcomer Abou Tounkara (9-4), to the cage in a lightweight bout and knows that it could be his last chance to make another title charge. Tounkara intends on making an immediate impact by knocking off the veteran, thus inserting himself towards the top of the division.
Former GLORY kickboxer Daniel Skvor (5-3), competes inside the same venue he scored a big knockout in last year against Swedish giant Nermin Hajdarpasic (4-1-1) at light heavyweight. In another feature bout, Bulgarian tank Lazar Todev (8-5) looks to continue the momentum he received from upsetting Adam Pałasz when he takes on dangerous finisher Wallyson Carvalho (13-8) in an important heavyweight contest. Furthermore, Akonne Wanliss (6-2) makes his highly anticipated OKTAGON MMA debut following his Team England coaching stint on the upcoming series of “OKTAGON Challenge: England vs. Ireland” against submission threat Giorgi Gogotchuri (4-2) at lightweight.
Elsewhere on the card, there will be additional British interest when young talent, Callum Mullen (5-1) faces Slovakian prospect Roman Paulus (9-3) in a featherweight bout, and English hardman James Lewis (8-4) squares off with “C-4,” Vladislav Kanchev (12-7-2), at welterweight. Thai boxing champion Samuel Bark (8-2) also aims for his first win in the promotion opposite German Eduard Kexel (8-1) in a featherweight fight.
OKTAGON Stvanice Saturday will be broadcast live on OKTAGON.tv internationally, as well as worldwide on the global platform DAZN, in all markets except from DACH and CZ/SK. The action begins at 12.30 p.m. ET.
