Nurmagomedov to White: Send me a title contract not a bull$#!@ contract

Back in September the UFC was negotiating with featherweight champion Conor McGregor for a fight with lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205. There were reports that McGregor wanted to retain his featherweight title while taking the lightweight challenge, but that the UFC was adamant that after fighting Nate Diaz twice, ‘Notorious’ had to give up the featherweight belt, or defend it.

In an apparent move to pressure McGregor, UFC president Dana White sent #1 contender Khabib Nurmagomedov a contract to fight Alvarez, and tweeted that publicly.

It worked. Conor signed the contract and agreed to give up the featherweight belt. Notorious later unagreed, but that’s another story. And the fight was the biggest in the history of mixed martial arts.

Nurmagomedov then signed to fight #6 Michael Johnson, but is so adamant that he wants a title shot next that he was demanding it of White, in between rounds as he was fighting Johnson.

‘The Eagle’ explained during a post-fight interview with Megan Olivi.

“I talked between every round with Dana,” explained Nurmagomedov. “I said, ‘hey, after this fight, don’t send me your bulls*** fight contract. Send me real contract. I want to beat your son.’ And he talked about, ‘oh, please finish your fight.’

“I said, ‘don’t worry about this. You know I am already deserve this.’ And after first round I talked with him. After second round. After fight finish.

“I know Dana and Conor want to talk trash talking. But I want to talk real talk, you know? This is between me and these two bulls*** guys.”
