Nunes plans to finish Cat, fight Rousey

Amanda Nunes on getting a title shot at Rousey with win: “The way I am going to finish this fight, I hope I have the opportunity. Because she’s the #1 contender.”

The UGs Jonathan Shrager journeyed across the pond, and across the United States for UFC 178 and interviewed #8 ranked Amanda Nunes, who is fighting way up the ladder against Cat Zingano, against the #1 contender for Ronda Rousey’s title. UFC president Dana White says if Zingano gets the win, she get a title shot. Nunes plans to get the win, and then wants the promised shot for herself.

“The way I am going to finish this fight, I hope I have the opportunity,” she said. “Because she’s the #1 contender. If I beat the #1 contender, I think I’m supposed to fight for the belt.”
