Northcutt explains impossible armbar escape
The one shining moment for Northcutt was his incredible escape from a sunk arm bar in the second round when he looked like the fight may have been over.

Sage Northcutt did not have his best fight at UFC 200, winning a lackluster decision over Enrique Marin. Some media and fans also thought maybe Marin deserved the win from the judges.
The one shining moment for Northcutt was his incredible escape from a sunk arm bar in the second round when he looked like the fight may have been over:
“You know, the first thing people are taught when someone is getting an armbar on them is obviously to hold on tight, and to be able to turn the thumb,” Northcutt told FOX Sports. “So, you don’t want that thumb straight up and down because you don’t want to snap your elbow, or anything with your bicep or anything like that. So, doing that first, that was the most important thing.”
