It is deja vu all over again for UFC matchmaker Joe Silva, as reported by Tatame.

Joe Silva hás a lot of work to do. After finding a replacement for UFC 133 fighters Phil Davis and Vladimir Matyushenko, he has to find another opponent for Rich Franklin.

Rogerio ‘Minotouro’ Nogueira, who was set to fight the former champion at the card, has suffered an injury and is out of the card.

A shoulder injury suffered in training is the cause of the withdrawl. Nogueira’s return to the Octagon is not known at this point.

It looks like the UFC finally ran out of options.

After a hectic pace of shuffling in light heavyweights to key UFC 133 matchups, UFC matchmaker Joe Silva was finally forced to admit defeat.

UFC officials today announced that Antonio Rogerio Nogueira’s withdrawal from the Aug. 6 event has forced the cancellation of a planned co-feature contest with Rich Franklin.

Vitor Belfort vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama bout will be moved up to the co-main event. The welterweight battle between Dennis Hallman and Brian Ebersole has been moved from the prelims to the main card.
