Neglia’s RISE Invitational 3 to broadcast on UFC Fight Pass
RISE 3 is scheduled for 1/13 and features a main-event between current UFC lightweight, Chris Wade who takes on Sidney Outlaw from Dana White’s Contender Series.
Lou Neglia is a pioneer in the fight game. A three-time world champion kickboxer who is now a tenth-degree black belt, he spends most of his time passing on a lifetime of combat sports experience to a wide range of students. And he continues to groom generation after generation of tomorrow’s fighters.
Lou is a renowned fight promoter who built his foundation from the ground up. He never had financial backing like other promotions or like his good friend, Dana White, but his mark in the sport cannot be denied. He is a constant feeder to promotions like GLORY with his successful kickboxing series Combat at the Capitale and Battle of the Millennium. And his MMA promotion, Ring of Combat, is internationally recognized as one of the top regional MMA shows – ROC has sent over 120 fighters to the UFC. Just this week it was announced that former two-time and longtime reigning ROC champion, Julio Arce, was just added to UFC 220.
Neglia has now added another combat sport to his already impressive promotions portfolio, submission grappling. Together with New York Fighting, Lou promotes New York’s premiere grappling league, RISE Submission Invitational. RISE has already featured some of the top grapplers from the East Coast along with current UFC fighters and UFC veterans. In his eyes, RISE is a platform where grapplers can hone their skills and UFC fighters can stay busy between fights.
RISE 3 is scheduled for January 13th and features a main-event between current UFC lightweight, Chris Wade who takes on Sidney Outlaw from Dana White’s Contender Series. Freshly added to this stacked grappling card is UFC Bantamweight Merab Dvalishvili who was personally scouted by Dana White and his Looking For A Fight crew (Season 2 / Episode 4).
RISE 3 will also crown its first featherweight champion with an 8-man tournament featuring EBI rules. Ticket information can be found here.
To top it all off, RISE will be aired on UFC Fight Pass starting January 24th. This will be GREAT exposure for all RISE 3 combatants as Lou feels RISE Invitational will be just as successful as Ring of Combat!
