Mousasi vs. Leites scheduled for UFC London
Fortunately for Gegard Mousasi the UFC was able to secure a replacement with top ten fighter Thales Leties after he was taken out of the fight with Michael Bisping.
When Anderson Silva was unexpectedly announced to fight Michael Bisping at the UFC’s return to London, Gegard Mousasi was left without an opponent. Fortunately the UFC was able to secure a replacement with top ten fighter Thales Leties:
With Michael Bisping (27-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) into the main-event slot against former longtime middleweight champion Anderson Silva (33-6 MMA, 16-2 UFC), Mousasi (37-6-2 MMA, 4-3 UFC) now will meet Thales Leites (25-5 MMA, 10-4 UFC) in the co-main event.
Mousasi announced the news on his Facebook page with an updated version of the event poster. UFC officials have yet to make a formal announcement of the new matchup.
UFC Fight Night 83 takes place Feb. 27 at The O2 in London. The entire event will stream on UFC Fight Pass.
