Kyra ‘Mogwai’ Batara fights Paulina Granados in the main event of Combate Americas 19 at Freeman Coliseum, San Antonio, Texas on Friday night; the promotion’s inaugural atomweight belt is at stake.

Batara was present earlier this month at Copa Combate, the promotion’s $100,000 one-night, 8-man tournament, but she’s not bent on entering an 8-woman.
That’s what they’re talking about,” she said. “I know Campbell [McLaren] is all about the big show and lots of fireworks that’s going to bring everyone. If there is, I don’t want to participate in it haha. I’m not about the tournament style. I do Jiu-Jitsu; I do wrestling, but as far as fighting in a tournament, I don’t know how I feel about that. I prefer my one fight and I’m good haha.”
