Truefighting has learned that a bout between Joey Beltran and Matt Mitrione is currently being discussed as a possible fight for the UFC 117 card in Oakland. We will keep you updated on more news that comes this way.
Beltran (12-3) is currently riding a three fight winning streak, scoring a win over UFC veteran Houston Alexander at a 5150 Combat League event in January, as well as wins in his first two UFC fights against Rolles Gracie in his Octagon debut at UFC 109 in February and Tim Hague at UFC 113.
Beltran has competed for other notable promotions throughout his three-year career such as King of the Cage, Strikeforce, Total Combat and Bellator. He has finished all but one of his 12 career wins including 10 via TKO, and holds other notable career victories over the likes of Wes Combs and Sherman Pendergarst.
