There have been rumblings around former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar that he would consider a return to the UFC. The most obvious first fight back would be a rubber match with former two-time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir. Mir won the first fight via a submission of the year knee bar, and lost the rematch via strikes in the second.

In an interview with Brazil’s Combate, Mir said he would welcome the opportunity to welcome Lesnar back into the sport.

“I think that his come back would be good for MMA,” said Mir as transcribed by Fernando Arbex for BE. “He’s still popular, people know who he is and he brings attention. We are tied with one win each. I would enjoy a rubber match. I would like to welcome him back to the UFC.”

Mir differentiated his rivalry with Rodrigo Nogueira from that with Lesnar. Is short, he respects Big Nog, and doesn’t like Lesnar.

“Nogueira and I are very competitive but I have nothing against him outside the Octagon,” said Mir. “I like him as a person, so, sometimes, it’s hard to the fans understand. However, when we face each other, I always want to win. People think that you always have to talk about your rival. It’s the case with Lesnar because I don’t like him as a person.”

So what do you think UG? If Brock comes back, who is the best opponent?
