Mir wants trilogy fight with Lesnar or Big Nog
Frank Mir: “If Brock Lesnar wanted to come back, I’ll welcome him back. I don’t think he likes getting punched very much, and I’m looking like I’m learning to punch pretty hard.”

Former two-time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir broke a four-fight losing streak on Sunday, with a devastating KO of Antonio Silva. He had not won since 2011. However, a big win can turn a career around, and Mir discussed who he hopes to fight next.
“I think I now have the formula to push forward,” said Mir as transcribed by Anton Tabuena for BE. “So whoever I face next, whether he has the belt or not, I think he should be worried.”
“I think (Brock Lesnar) would be a huge big fight. I think it’s something that can catapult my name even higher up. I think the rubber match between the two of us should be a fantastic fight. To keep that anywhere near in the works, I had to win this fight. I really just kept it in the back of my mind.”
“If Brock Lesnar wanted to come back, I’ll welcome him back. I don’t think he likes getting punched very much, and I’m looking like I’m learning to punch pretty hard.”
“The one thing that I stick to and have spoken to (the UFC) about if they want me to fight in Brazil again – I have a lot of respect for Nogueira, I’ve always extended him that respect. If he really only has one fight left and he wants to retire facing me, I would be more than happy to give him that.”
“I think that would be a great fight, and it would be a reason for him to be watched again. The guy is a phenomenal warrior, and that’s a guy I used to mimic and watch when I was young, so that’s on the table too.”
“Whoever they give me. Really, everyday it’s just a fight with me. If I come in at 100% and I feel good like I did tonight, I wouldn’t bet on anybody across from me.”
Mir went 2-0 vs Nogueira and 1-1 with Lesnar. Lesnar of course is not signed with the UFC and Big Nog of course is. With a respectful call out of Big Nog and pointed one of Brock Lesnar, and a recent call out by Matt Mitrione, it will be interesting to see what the UFC does.
