Mir uncertain about fighting future
Frank Mir is a former UFC heavyweight champion, but at thirty five years of age hasn’t made a final decision on his fight career.

Frank Mir is currently on the wrong end of a four fight losing streak, having last fought in February of this year. Mir is a former UFC heavyweight champion, but at thirty five years of age hasn’t made a final decision on his fight career:
For his last three bouts, Mir travelled to Albuquerque to train with renowned coach, Greg Jackson. Unfortunately for Mir, getting out of his comfort zone and training with a new team hasn’t produced wins for him in the Octagon. He’s currently on a 4-fight losing skid. The Las Vegas native isn’t sure if, or when, he might return.
I really don’t know. I’m kind of just taking time off and weighing that out, Mir said. That’s a decision that me and my family are still trying to – we haven’t come to a conclusive idea yet.
Though he doesn’t have immediate plans to fight, Mir hasn’t strayed from training or being involved with the sport. He’s been back to Jackson-Winklejohn’s MMA and also helped Travis Browne prepare for his battle with Fabricio Werdum.
I’ve actually been down there even though I haven’t got a fight anytime in the forseeable future. When [Browne] was fighting Werdum, I was trying to mimic him as much as possible.
