The main event of UFC 211 featured a heavyweight title bout between champion Stipe Miocic and top contender and former champion Junios Dos Santos.

The first meeting between Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos went the full 25 minutes.

The second time around was a considerably shorter affair.

Miocic, who was left limping by a brutal early kick to the shin, landed a huge right hand in the opening round of their UFC heavyweight title main event on Saturday night at UFC 211.

A series of left hands to the grounded dos Santos ended things via KO at the 2:22 mark of the opening round at Dallas’ American Airlines Center.

Round 1 – Miocic with an early low kick. Dos Santos moves and jabs to the body. Miocic in the center and patient. He kicks again to the legs. Dos Santos does the same. Miocic pushes forward, and Dos Santos fight against the cage. Quick firefight, and both men throwing hard. Dos Santos avoids any damage and kicks the legs again. Dos Santos with a left to the body. Miocic pressing and throwing huge punches. Dos Santos slipping them and moving, hut Miocic getting very close. Miocic does land a big right hand. Dos Santos having trouble getting space. Miocic blasts him with a right hand. Vicious. Dos Santos crumbles to the floor. Miocic jumps on top and rifles off left hands. They’re connecting. Herb Dean gives Dos Santos every chance to recover, but it’s not going to happen. The attack is relentless, and this fight is over.
