Miocic: I’m better than Hunt standing and on the ground
Stip Miocic on his advantage over Mark Hunt: “I think stand-up, on the ground, conditioning. Doesn’t matter. Against the cage, clinch work against the fence.”

UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic spoke with Submission Radio ahead of his fight with Mark Hunt in the main event of UFC Fight Night 65, live on UFC Fight Pass.
“I feel like I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been,” said Miocic. “I have great coaches that have put me through hell and back and I’m ready to go.
“I think everyone has knockout power. I mean, it’s the heavyweight division. Everyone has 4 ounce gloves on, and they’re big boys and they can throw hard. I mean JDS has knockout power and walk away power. So you know I’m gonna do my game plan and be fine with it.
Miocic detailed where he feels he is the superior fighter.
I think stand-up, on the ground, conditioning,” said Miocic. “Doesn’t matter. Against the cage, clinch work against the fence.
Definitely my speed, my foot skills, my wrestling; you know all that. I have better stand-up.
On if being friendly with Mark Hunt leading up to their match up will make it harder for Stipe to fight
Oh nah man it’s business. It is what it is and he’ll probably say the same thing. It is what it is.
Lastly, Miocic weighed in on whether it is fair to judge athletes like Jon Jones and Floyd Mayweather for their actions outside of the cage.
A little bit of both,” he said. “I mean you are a role model to people. You gotta make sure you’re doing the right thing. You know, listen; everyone messes up, no one’s perfect. It is what it is, and listen I’m not perfect either. I’ve done things that weren’t good, you know but I made up for my mistakes. But you know no one’s noticed, but I mean some people they have and people make mistakes. So we’ll see what happens.
