The list of greatest of all time is short, and includes Daniel Cormier, Fedor Emelianenko, Demetrious Johnson, Jon Jones, Anderson Silva, and Georges St-Pierre. Anderson Silva, Daniel Cormier, and GSP enhanced their reputation by successfully moving up a division. There have been calls for Johnson to move up and fight T.J. Dillashaw. However, during an interview after Wednesday’s open workout, Johnson, 31, detailed a different path to the best of the best ever.

If I was to go out and collect all the belts, now that’s something that’s like, ‘OK, I’ve proven that I’m the best,’ said Johnson to MMAjunkie. If I was to go to ONE Championship, win the flyweight division there. Go to RIZIN, win the flyweight division there. And then go to Bellator … win the belt there. Now this speaks volumes.

For me to have every unique looking belt around the world, that’s what gets me excited if you really want to know. That’s where it’s like, ‘You have me interested now.’
