Pereira weighed in at 174 pounds at Friday’s official weigh-ins, and the bout has now been scrapped.

Due to Michel Pereira (28-11 MMA, 6-2 UFC) weighing in over the welterweight limit, the bout against Stephen Thompson (17-6-1 MMA, 12-6-1 UFC) has been canceled from tomorrow’s event.
“UFC 291: Poirier vs. Gaethje 2” takes place Saturday, July 29 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
