McGregor turns himself into police following bus attack
Conor McGregor has turned himself into police. He is in police custody. Charges are pending.

In one of the lowest moments in mixed martial arts history, Conor McGregor and an entourage of over a dozen physically attacked a UFC 223 fighter bus. Seated on the Red Corner bus were Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Rose Namajunas, Ray Borg, Michael Chiesa, Al Iaquinta, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and others. McGregor ran next to the bus and smashed in a window with a hand truck.
Two of the fighters were injured by flying glass and are out of the event. In addition, McGregor’s Straight Blast Gym Ireland teammate Artem Lobov was reportedly part of the group of attackers and has been pulled from his fight.
UFC VP Reed Harris, a lifelong martial artist, reported that a UFC staffer suffered a broken hand. He further reported that passengers on the bus were in fear for their lives.
The entire incident is reported to have been sparked off by Lobov having words with Nurmagomedov at the fighter’s hotel.
UFC president Dana White, who was far beyond disgusted, said McGregor was not allowed to leave the country, and that the police were looking for him. Now McGregor has turned himself into police. He is in police custody. Charges are pending.
TMZ reports he has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of felony criminal mischief. One assault charge is for injuries to Chiesa’s face. The other is for allegedly punching someone in the face multiple times. The mischief charge is for damage to the bus, which reportedly total $8,000.
McGregor will doubtless be sued over and again over the incident. Whether he ever fights again in the UFC in question. What is beyond dispute is that he has lost his mind.
