McGregor: Relationship with UFC bosses “in a good place”

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor got in a struggle with UFC management around media duties, and lost. He was pulled from what would have been the most lucrative card in MMA history, and was told he would fight later.
On Wednesday night McGregor met with UFC president Dana White and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta. Thursday morning ‘Notorious’ told ESPN’s Kenny Mayne that things are “in a good place.”
“Good conversation like it always is,” said McGregor, as transcribed by Marc Raimondi for MMA Fighting. “We have a good relationship. It is what it is. It happens. This is the fight game. Sometimes emotions get into it. But it’s important to recognize that emotions have no place in business. That’s essentially what it was last night. We just set it aside. There’s no place for emotions in this. We are doing beautiful things. So let’s continue. Let’s fix it and let’s continue.”
Mayne used an American football metaphor, asking where on the field his relations with White and Fertitta are.
“Sitting in the middle,” said McGregor. “In a good place.”
Mayne asked if things were better than before.
“Yeah, of course,” said McGregor. “Of course.”
