Floyd Mayweather is stirring up hype around a rematch with UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, in the Octagon. The idea is even more absurd than MayMac, but that made the duo combined several hundred million dollars.

The obvious problem is that a triathlete entering a road race knows how to run. A runner entering a triathlon who doesn’t know how to swim is at a notable disadvantage, not just of losing, but of drowning.

The obvious solution has already been proposed by UFC president Dana White, albeit in reverse.

When Mayweather boxing McGregor was first floated, White offered a wise response.
