McGregor hit with multiple charges, White explains what happened
Dana White: “When Conor found out, he loaded up the plane full of guys from Ireland, flew over here and coordinated this attack.”

Conor McGregor has been charged with three counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of criminal mischief following an attack on a UFC 223 fighter bus yesterday.
Video appears to show McGregor and his accomplices throwing various heavy objects at the bus, in an attack on Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was one the fighters on the bus. ‘The Eagle’ emerged amused and unscathed but the inept group managed to cut Michael Chiesa with flying glass (one count of misdemeanor assault), got glass in Ray Borg’s eye leading to a corneal abrasion (another count of misdemeanor assault), and was involved in an injury to a third party. The criminal mischief was for breaking the bus window.
TMZ Sports reports that Chiesa filed a police report against McGregor. A civil suit is likely to follow.
McGregor turned himself in; his passport was flagged, leaving him unable to leave the country. The fighter can be seen below in handcuffs, exiting the police station to questions from the media and jeers from the crowd.

Chiesa and Borg are out due to the injuries. McGregor’s SBGi teammate Artem Lobov was pulled from his fight due to his reported involvement in the attack.
UFC president Dana White appeared on the First Things First show and provided some background on what happened. Nurmagomedov and Lobov had words earlier in the week.
“When Conor found out, he loaded up the plane full of guys from Ireland, flew over here and coordinated this attack,” said White, who had been texting with McGregor prior to the arrest.
“We didn’t have a good conversation yesterday, and it wasn’t really about the situation. He felt that my interview on ESPN yesterday – and with MMA Junkie – he wasn’t happy with some of the things that I said.”
“There’s nothing like this that has ever happened.”
White said McGregor felt justified, telling his boss, “It had to be done.”
