Sanchez and McGregor had feuded on Twitter several times and for a few hours fans were delighted. However there were several obvious issues with the fight.

Although McGregor has fought at lightweight multiple times in the past, he fights at featherweight in the UFC. Sanchez is a lightweight. McGregor is slated to go to Brazil for the October 25 title fight between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes, to build excitement within the division. Further, Sanchez has an announced opponent, Norman Parke.
