Today the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the full salary information for this past weekend’s UFC 194 which took place in Las Vegas, Nevada:

Conor McGregor: $500,000 ($500,000 to show, $0 to win)

Luke Rockhold: $160,000 ($80,000 to show, $80,000 to win)
def. Chris Weidman: $275,000 (show money)

Yoel Romero: $150,000 ($125,000 to show, $25,000 to win)
def. Ronaldo Souza: $135,000 (show money)

Demian Maia: $156,000 ($78,000 to show, $78,000 to win)
def. Gunnar Nelson: $75,000 (show money)

Max Holloway: $90,000 ($45,000 to show, $45,000 to win)
def. Jeremy Stephens: $43,000 (show money)

Urijah Faber: $300,000 ($150,000 to show, $150,000 to win)

The figure are the amounts that state law requires be provided, and do not represent a full accounting of each fighter’s income.

Fighters bear significant costs including training expenses, a percentage to management, a percentage to the trainer, plus insurance, licenses, and taxes.

On the income side, sponsorship money can be a significant portion of the purse, although it is smaller than it was in the past, particularly for the mid tier fighters. There are also unofficial “locker room” bonuses given at some points. And four fighters on the card won $50,000 performance bonuses.

Lastly, many fighters earn income from teaching, from appearances, and in many cases from regular employment in the non-fighting space.
