McGeary: I’m going to KO Ortiz in first round
Liam McGeary: “I see me knocking him out; I’m going first round…These five-rounders are tiring. I’m just going to keep hitting him in the face.”

Liam McGeary is relatively unknown amongst casual fans heading into this weekend’s Bellator MMA bout with Tito Ortiz, but says after the fight people will realize that he is the next big thing:
Everyone knows who Tito is; he’s been around the sport for a long time, McGeary said. For me to do what I’m going to do to him on Sept. 19, and to have all these people watching this, is going to be a really good feeling. It’s going to make people realize when they open their eyes that Liam McGeary is the next best thing. Just like Tito Ortiz was – Liam McGeary is.
If McGeary wants to build his name at Ortiz’s expense, he said it’s going to take an impressive performance. A lackluster decision or even a competitive fight isn’t good enough, he said. In order to take full advantage of the situation, McGeary said he must do something memorable.
I see me knocking him out; I’m going first round, McGeary said. These five-rounders are tiring. I’m just going to keep hitting him in the face.
