Mayweather responds unexpectedly to McGregor $#!@ talk
Floyd Mayweather: “Conor McGregor, they said you finally opened your mouth and you’re back to talking $#!@ and I say that’s cool too.”

For nearly a year, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor have been jawing about a boxing match. It finally appears to be edging close to reality, with UFC president Dana White recently saying he thinks it is going to happen, and Conor McGregor promising to knock out the boxer at his own game.
During a recent interview with FightHype, Mayweather responded.
I feel like he’s entitled to feel the way he wants to feel,” said Mayweather, as transcribed by Jed Meshew for MMA Fighting. “Only thing you can do is respect that.
I just want to say, Dana White, I was overseas when they told me what you said. I wanna say, good work Dana White. Conor McGregor, they said you finally opened your mouth and you’re back to talking s*** and I say that’s cool too.
The response is in marked contrast with the usual bombast from White and insulting from McGregor.
“With me, it is what it is,” said Mayweather calmly. “If I can’t do nothing, everybody knows I can fight, if I can’t do nothing else. But when I’m not in the ring, I’m a gentleman. Outside the ring, I’m a gentleman.
It’s about what I say. It’s whatever I say. Like I’ve said before, it is what it is. If it happens, it happens. We’ll just see.
Rumor has it the boxing match will take place in September.
