Of all the world’s top professional athletes, only one works for himself – Floyd Mayweather. A decade ago ‘Money’ had a fallout with Bob Arum and Top Rank, bought out his contract, and founded Mayweather Promotions. In addition to solo promotion and co-promoting with Golden Boy Promotions, Mayweather Promotions promotes a variety of live entertainment including musical and theatrical events, and film and television productions. The CEO of Mayweather Promotions is Leonard Ellerbe, and he recently spoke with Fight Hub TV, about the one MMA move McGregor can use that Mayweather has never faced.

Notorious cannot take Mayweather down, or push him against a solid wall, or even hold him significantly. He cannot choke Mayweather, or try a joint lock. He cannot hit him with an elbow, or any part of his leg, or even hammerfist or spinning backfist him. But a Superman punch is legal!

Ellerbee was asked if Mayweather is preparing for the Superman Punch.

“They’re just talking, man,” replied Ellerbe. “All that’s just talk to kind of distract you, to run misdirection.

“I think he brings a lot of things to the fight. I think he brings and awkward style, that’s kind of difficult to prepare for. And he’s very strong. He has great timing. I’m impressed, I’m impressed. I think I was one of the first to say he’s got a cold little hand game. His timing … is impeccable.”

Floyd Mayweather boxes Conor McGregor on August 26.
