The outspoken former host of MTV’s Bully Beatdown has been released from the UFC following a loss to C.B. Dollaway at UFC 146.
Miller was basically banished from television after the Strikeforce riot, but found new life when the UFC signed him to a new deal and put him on TUF as a coach opposite Michael Bisping.
While the show was a success for Miller, Bisping finished him with strikes in a poor performance by Mayhem. Following the fight UFC President Dana White contemplated releasing him.
White decided to give Miller one more chance, and in the early going of his fight against C.B. Dollaway it looked like he might find success, but Mayhem ended up losing a lopsided decision.
At that point UFC President Dana White said he determined Mayhem was going to be cut.
And then Mayhem was, well, Mayhem.
“Something happened backstage afterwards … ‘Mayhem’ is done,” White said.
When pressed for details, White declined.
“Just some s— I don’t want to talk about,” White said.
In an interview with FUEL TV’s post fight show, shot between the event and the post fight press con, White was asked if he thought Miller should be held to his promise to retire if he couldn’t beat CB Dollaway.
I think that’s a great idea, replied a grim White. The thing is with ‘Mayhem’ Miller, his last fight was embarrassing that he had with Michael Bisping after his season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’ Then he still comes out with pink s— on or whatever the hell he was wearing.
The guy doesn’t take it serious and he looked it tonight.
