Mayhem at the press con as McGregor tries to toss chair

Once again, UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor heated things up a press conference. The self-described “pimp in a Gucci mink” showed up so late to the press conference that opponent and lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez stalked off.

The Gucci coat still had the price tag on it, too.

McGregor sauntered in and exclaimed to the crowd “I DON’T GIVE A F@$%!” ‘Notorious’ topped that by walking over to Alvarez’s empty chair, snatching his belt, and then dropping into his chair with belts to the left and right, to the roar of the crowd.

Alvarez returned and snatched his belt back, turning McGregor into a banshee. When Alvarez tried chair bowling with McGregor as a nine pun, McGregor got banshee squared. UFC president Dana White reversed Conor direction with surprising aplomb, whereupon McGregor tried to throw the chair. That got yanked away and eventually things returned to their abnormal normal.

McGregor was then asked about his big announcement. The Irishman replied that fans should buy the PPV and find out, but Alvarez interjected with a theory.

“The big announcement is … he’s having two kids and his girlfriend isn’t having twins,” quipped ‘The King of the UnderGround.’

Heh.

And, eventually, it was discovered that when Alvarez took his belt back, he grabbed the wrong one.

UFC 205 takes place at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, November 12th.
