Manuwa reveals he fought with torn ACL and MCL
Jimi Manuwa: “They told me I shouldn’t fight, and I said no, I can’t pull out. It was a big decision for me and the team, but we had to go through with it.”

In the co-main event of UFC Fight Night Krakow, Jimi Manuwa did enough to earn a decision win over Jan Blachowicz. In sixteen professional fights it was the first time Manuwa had ever had a fight go the judges score cards, but he explained afterwards that a serious injury had kept him from fighting to his potential:
I almost didn’t make it to the fight. I only got cleared, literally last week to fight,” he said. “I had a bad knee injury. I tore my meniscus, MCL and ACL as well. They told me I shouldn’t fight, and I said no, I can’t pull out. It was a big decision for me and the team, but we had to go through with it.”
