UFC President Dana White said last week he hoped to firm up plans for Anderson Silva’s return to the Octagon backstage of UFC 137, but it didn’t happen.
Now Silva’s manager Jorge Guimaraes says whatever happens, it is all up to The Spide.
Anderson is coming to the United States,” said Guimares. “We’ll talk with him when he gets here.”
We still haven’t talked about it. I guess Chael Sonnen was out of line a little, right? But it’s up to Anderson. We’ll sit down and figure it out. There’re other options… Anderson has a full schedule, he’s doing physiotherapy… It depends on him. Only and exclusivaly of him.
In a recent interview on the Brazilian television show De frente com Gabi Silva made his opinion towards Sonnen clear. He doesn’t deserve to fight me. He didn’t do the most important thing: defeating me. And he was caught by the doping test, which is even wors. He made bad comments, offended me and my wife.”
Anderson Silva arrrives in the United States on November 9th, to follow UFC on FOX, Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos, which takes place on November 12.
