During his pre event chat Jordan Breen passed on a rumor that challenger Lyoto Machida is sick.
Also, word round the campfire here in Toronto is that Machida is battling a cold, flu, pneumonia, or some other such thing. Pretty much been holed up in his room moreso than usual. We’ll see if that ultimately amounts to anything.
Given that Machida has plenty to worry about tomrrow night, it is is of course hoped that this rumor is just rumor, and not fact.
Machida’s manager Ed Soares gave hope that that is the case, saying to BJPenn.com “It is a total lie he feels 100%.”
